The booklet tells a little about the origin and meanings of the word “forró”, its main rhythms, the basic dance steps, the evolution of the genre from the 1940s to the present day, and its leading artists.
The book was written in partnership with musician and researcher Sandrinho Dupan, from Campina Grande, Paraíba, with final editing and review by Fernando Moura, a journalist, researcher, and writer from João Pessoa, Paraíba.
